Ektoras Dionysios Fokas is an undergraduate student of the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus, majoring in ‘Software Technology and Intelligent Systems’. In 2023, he started his Internship in the Greek Copernicus Data Hubs group in the BEYOND operational unit of the National Observatory of Athens, which aims to distribute data from the Copernicus Sentinels satellites to services and organizations that have entered into an agreement with the European Space Agency (ESA). Since then, he officially works in the Copernicus Data Hubs team on process automation and service maintenance. He is also involved in two of the main European research projects of the team, titled “Copernicus Sentinel Hubs” and “Copernicus Relay Data Hub,” aimed at ensuring their proper functioning.
