PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Dr. Ieronymidi has a PhD on Remote Sensing (Technical University of Crete, Greece), a Master of Science on Geochemistry (University of Leeds, UK) and a Bachelor Degree on Geology (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece). At present, she is a Postdoctoral Researcher at IAASARS/NOA, mainly involved with Flood risk monitoring, Disaster Assessment and Land Use Mapping. She is one of the members of the NOA winning team for the Best Service Challenge of the Copernicus Masters Awards 2014. The awarded service is entitled “FireHub: A Space Based Fire Management Hub”, an operational EO based fire management service, which was developed in the framework of the BEYOND project.

RESEARCH
INTERESTS

Dr. Ieronymidi is interested in Remote Sensing applications in the fields of natural disasters, geology, environment and civil protection, as well as processing and fusion of satellite imagery.
