PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Anna Charisi graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Telecommunications. In 2003 she received a master's degree in Signal Processing for Communications and Multimedia and afterwards she attended a second MSc in Bioinformatics from the same university. In 2009 she received a master's degree in Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics from the University of California, Riverside. From 1999 to 2000 she worked as a researcher-programmer in several national and European funded projects in various scientific areas, varying from web-development, database management and virtual environments to satellite image processing and electronic government tools. From 2006 to 2009 she was a researcher in Dr. Thomas Girke's lab (University of California, Riverside) in the area of Drug and Chemoinformatics. From 2011 till now she works as research associate in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as in the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications & Remote Sensing in the National Observatory of Athens (IAASARS-NOA).

Development of web applications, database management, development of e-Infrastructures to access near-Earth space data.
