Charitini Karakostaki is Project Manager and Policy Advisor at the Operational Unit “BEYOND Centre of EO Research & Satellite Remote Sensing” of IAASARS/NOA. She has extensive experience in proposal development and the management of European and international projects, with expertise in territorial cooperation programmes, education initiatives, and innovation actions. Her work focuses on the design and implementation of projects that connect research, technology, and public policy in the fields of energy, climate change, health, resilience, and risk management. She also has experience in the development of digital tools and training solutions aimed at skills enhancement and workforce reskilling. She holds a PhD in Sociology from École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), has postdoctoral research experience at University of Liège, and has taught at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has published academic studies and public-interest articles on issues related to social risk, political and social theory, governance, and public policy.
