Georgia Tsiropoula received the B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Athens (Greece), the D.E.A. in Astrophysics from the University Paris VII (France) and the PhD in Astrophysics (Solar Physics) from the University of Athens (Greece). She has worked as a visiting research fellow at the Laboratoire de Physique Stellaire et Planetaire (LPSP, CNRS, France) and as a visiting scientist at the Observatoire de Meudon (France), at the Ondrejov Observatory (Czech Republic) and at the Sterrekundig Instituut of Utrecht (The Netherlands). She has also been visiting solar observer at the Observatorio del Teide (Tenerife) and the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos (La Palma). She is member of the Editorial Board of the ISRN Astronomy & Astrophysics Journal.
INTERESTS
Small-scale structure of the solar atmosphere, solar chromosphere, sunspot oscillations, coronal loops, physical parameters of solar structures, radiative transfer problems, signatures of solar structures in the interplanetary medium.
