PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Maria Petronikolou graduated from the Department of Physics of the University of Patras in 2018, specializing in Theoretical, Computational Physics and Astrophysics. She obtained her Master’s Degree from the Interdepartmental Graduate Programme “Physics and Technological Applications” (2020), jointly offered by the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”. In 2024, she was awarded a PhD by the Department of Physics of the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences (NTUA), under the supervision of IAASARS Research Director Emmanuel N. Saridakis. Her doctoral research focused on “Cosmological Implications of Modified Theories of Gravity.” Since 2025, she has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at IAASARS under the supervision of Emmanuel N. Saridakis. International Collaborations: Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA).

INTERESTS

Her research interests focus on relativity, cosmology, theories of gravity, dark energy, and gravitational waves.
