Postdoctoral Researchers
Evangelos Paouris received his B.Sc. in Physics with an orientation in Astrophysics, Astronomy and Mechanics from the Physics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2010. In 2013 he received his M.Sc. degree in Astrophysics and in 2017 he received his Ph.D. from the same University. As a member of Cosmic Ray Group of University of Athens worked in many scientific projects of European Space Agency from 2011 up to now. Since March 2018 he has been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications & Remote Sensing of the National Observatory of Athens (IAASARS-NOA).
INTERESTS
Space and Solar Physics. Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and their interplanetary counterparts (ICMEs) and relation with Space Weather effects such as Geomagnetic Storms and Solar Radiation Storms. Forecasting space weather conditions from high speed streams (HSS) of solar wind and CMEs/ICMEs. Cosmic Rays (CRs) of Galactic (GCRs) and Solar origin, modulation of GCR using solar and interplanetary variables.
