Ilianna Stergiopoulou is a Climate Physics graduate from Utrecht University, in the Netherlands, with a background in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Crete. She holds a Master’s Degree in Climate Physics and completed her MSc thesis at Wageningen University & Research, focusing on wildfire forecasting. During her studies, she completed an Erasmus+ research internship at the University of Birmingham, where she investigated extreme events and synoptic-scale processes.

At NOA-ReACT, her work focuses on air quality modelling and atmospheric composition in the wider area of Athens, contributing to projects involving the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), AtmoHub, and the ICON-ART atmospheric modelling framework.
