PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Rizos-Theodoros Chadoulis is a physicist with postgraduate studies in Artificial Intelligence, Communication Networks and Systems Security, Environmental Physics, and European Policies. Since January 2022, he has been a PhD candidate at the Department of Informatics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in the field of Signal Processing and Information Analysis with applications in Environmental Monitoring, and an active member of the Student Registry of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE). In the past, he has worked as a Research Assistant at the Information Technologies Institute of the Centre of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) for four years and as an External Consultant at EIT Digital, being involved in the activities of the EIT AI Community. In the spring semester of 2023, he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Maryland to conduct part of his doctoral dissertation and participate in the research activities of NASA’s Land Cover Land Use Change Program. Since 2024, he has been working at IAASARS of the National Observatory of Athens, focusing on the prediction of solar radiation/energy using satellite observations and ground measurements.
