Thanasis Georgiou is a PhD Candidate, working on dust transport modeling improvements through data assimilation. He graduated as a Electronic & Electrical Engineer in 2020 and subsequently finished a MSc programme in Data Science.  As a member of the ReACT group at the National Observatory of Athens, he participates in research projects related to numerical weather prediction, data assimilation and on applying novel machine learning techniques in these fields.
