George Katoufas is a graduate of the School of Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), with a specialization in Industrial Management and Operations Research. His academic journey was marked by active participation in various Case Study Competitions and Space Hackathons, reflecting his deep interest in space-related topics. Following his graduation, George garnered practical industry experience through internships in Project and Production Management positions across multiple businesses.

Since February 2020, George has been working at the Remote Sensing of Aerosols, Clouds, and Trace Gases (ReACT) group of NOA/IAASARS, serving as a Research Fellow. In this role, George takes on multifaceted responsibilities including (1) actively supporting the formulation and writing of research proposals, ensuring their alignment with the group’s objectives and broader scientific goals, (2) day-to-day management of the ReACT team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment and (3) supporting the administrative aspects of the implementation of the group’s research projects.
