Thanasis has studies Electronic Engineering at the University of West Attica and has a MSc in Data Science from Athens University of Economics and Business. He is currently pursuing a PhD on Improving Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) through advancement of aerosol data assimilation techniques at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In ReACT, Thanasis focuses on data assimilation algorithms and their applications, including assimilation of observations from novel instruments, on machine learning algorithms related to forward modeling and NWP, and on satellite remote sensing.
