Panagiotis Zachariadis, born on August 24, 2000, is an honors graduate of the Department of Physics at the University of Patras (2018–2022) and holds a Master’s degree following the successful completion of the M1 “Mechanics” and M2 “Water, Air, Pollution and Energies” programs at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (2022–2024). In the summer of 2023, he participated in the D3D research project, working on the three-dimensional reconstruction of clouds using photographic imagery, as a member of the research team at the Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics at the University of Patras. He completed his postgraduate studies with a research project at the Laboratory for Atmospheres and Space Observations (LATMOS) at Sorbonne University (Paris VI Jussieu), focusing on the development of an artificial intelligence algorithm for identifying the height of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer based on LIDAR and RADAR measurements. Since November 2024, he has been a member of the FireHUB research team at the Operational Unit “BEYOND Centre of EO Research & Satellite Remote Sensing”, conducting research on wildfire detection, monitoring, and forecasting through the processing of satellite geospatial data and the development of machine learning models.
