Katerina Pissaridi holds a diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and she obtained her PhD in the field of Biomaterials and Biospectroscopy in 2012 from the same university. Her Postdoctoral studies were at the Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Biotechnology (Department of Chemistry, University of Patras). After that she joined “Megara Resins” as an R&D Coordinator. Later on she worked in YIOTIS S.A. as Research Projects Manager coordinating more than 20 research projects (national and European) in fields such as food technology, food safety, nutrition and circular economy. She has published more than 15 scientific papers in International Journals and Books and she has presented her work in many National and International conferences. Currently she is working as a Project Manager at the Operational Unit BEYOND Center of Excellence of IAASARS/NOA, participating in the management of Research Projects and the development of new proposals.
