PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Maria Kaselimi studied at the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) from 2010 to 2015. She received a master’s degree in Geoinformatics at NTUA in 2017. She obtained her PhD as an SSF Fellow from NTUA in 2021. Her doctoral dissertation was honored with the International Scientific Award of the Dimitris N. Chorafas Foundation. She conducted postdoctoral research at the National Technical University of Athens and the University of Malta. She worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of West Attica. In 2025, she was elected as Assistant Researcher at the IAASARS of the National Observatory of Athens (NOA).

RESEARCH
INTERESTS

Her research interests focus on machine learning, signal processing, geoinformatics, artificial intelligence in satellite applications, as well as earth monitoring using multimodal and multi-sensor data.
