PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Dr Ingmar Sandberg received his B.S. in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1997. During 1998-2002 he was employed in Uppsala University, Sweden as a doctoral student where in 2002 he received his Ph.D. degree in Space and Plasma Physics from the Department of Space and Astronomy. During 2002-2003 he worked as a Post-Doc student in the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, Ruhr Univeristy of Bochum, Germany. During 2003-2008 he joined the Hellenic National Program of Controlled Thermonuclear Fusion and worked as a Post-Doc in the research teams of the Department of Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens. During 2006-2008 he was lecturing courses in Physics to first and second year students in the University of Peloponese, Greece. Since September of 2008 he is affiliated with the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS) of the NOA, Greece.

pace Physics and plasma: Data analysis, detector calibration techniques, data-driven models for interplanetary and trapped energetic particle radiation environment, low frequency waves and turbulence in magnetized plasma.
