Postdoctoral Researchers

Athanasios Natsis holds a degree in Physics and an MSc in Atmospheric Physics from the Physics Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). He completed his PhD in 2024 with a thesis titled “Effects of aerosols and clouds on solar radiation.” He has expertise in solar radiation modeling, aerosol–cloud interactions, and climate data analysis. He is experienced in EU-funded environmental and climate projects, with a strong background in data automation, remote sensing, and quality assurance of atmospheric measurements. He is the author of peer-reviewed publications and an active participant in international conferences.
INTERESTS
Atmospheric radiation modeling, including measurement and simulation of direct, diffuse, and global solar radiation; aerosol–cloud–radiation interactions; automated processing and quality control of radiation data; and analysis of spatial climate model forecasts.
