Sophia Derlopa is a graduate of the Department of Physics of the University of Patras (2007). She possesses a Master Degree in Quantum Computation from the same University (2010). In 2016 she begun her PhD at the IAASARS of the National Observatory of Athens, in collaboration with the Department of Physics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The object of her study was Supernova Remnants and their 3D modeling. In 2021 she concluded her PhD Thesis (fellowship from the State Scholarships Foundation – SST). Since November 2022 she works as a Postdoc researcher at the IAASARS in the frame of the project GR-SST. This includes satellites observations by the use of the 1.2m telescope at the Kryoneri Observatory (Korinthos).
