Dimitra Karkani is a graduate from the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens and is pursuing her master’s degree in the “Data Science and Machine Learning” program at the same school. At the undergraduate level, she studied fluorescence-based biosensors and developed a DNA-hybridisation-based biosensor for detecting adulteration in dairy products. In her graduate studies, she focused on the study of hallucinations of large language models in a multilingual context and developed a system for detecting them.
