Michalis Papachristou is a PhD candidate at the University of Athens under the supervision of Associate Professor Nektarios Vlahakis. He is carrying out his PhD thesis at the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications & Remote Sensing (IAASARS) in collaboration with Dr Kalliopi Dasyra. His work focuses on galactic winds in radio galaxies and how they interact with star formation using data from the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA). He obtained his BSc in Physics with specialization in Astrophysics (2015) and his MSc in Astrophysics (2017) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The subject of his MSc thesis was the dissipation of interstellar clouds when impacted by jets, with the aid of HD simulations.
