Nikos Svigkas received in June 2011 his degree in Geology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and in January 2013 his MRes in Science of Natural Hazards from the University of Bristol, UK. Since April 2013 he is a PhD candidate in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Currently he is at the National Observatory of Athens working on InSAR. His main subject is the understanding of geophysical phenomena using Seismology, Geology and Remote Sensing.

Crustal Deformation, SAR Interferometry, Natural Hazards monitoring, Seismology, Tectonics, Neotectonics.
