Ektoras Pouliasis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2012) and then he attended a two-year Master program in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Astronomical and Space-based Systems Engineering at the Observatory of Paris, France. During this period, he worked on orbit integrations and developing mass models for the Milky Way, while for his Master thesis he tested the spatial correlations produced by the errors between the astrometric parameters from the ESA mission Gaia. Starting in September 2015, he is a doctoral student at IAASARS in the framework of the ESA project "Hubble Catalogue of Variables", on identifying and characterizing variable sources in the Hubble Source Catalogue.
