Nikolaos Nanouris obtained his B.Sc. in Physics in 2004 and his M.Sc. in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Mechanics in 2006 from the Physics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 2012 he received his Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the same Department funded by the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece (IKY). He also holds a M.Sc. in Statistics and Probabilities from the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of the National Technical University of Athens in 2010. From 2012 to 2014 he worked as a laboratory associate for the Technological Educational Institute of Ionian Islands. Since late 2014 he works as a post-doctoral research associate in IAASARS-NOA.

Binary systems modeling, Orbital period variations and ETV diagrams analysis, Planetary nebulae and supernova remnants, Reduction and analysis of photometric and spectroscopic data Statistical model comparison and variable selection, Computational non-parametric Statistics, Bayesian Statistics and MCMC techniques
