Dr. Eleftheria Mylona received her B.Sc. degree in Physics from the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2006 and the M.Sc. degree in Acoustics from the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Edinburgh in 2007. In 2014 she received her Ph.D. degree in Image Analysis from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). For her Ph.D. research, she received a scholarship co-financed by the European Union and Greek national funds through the research funding program Heracleitus II. Since March 2014, she is affiliated with the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS), National Observatory of Athens (NOA). She has authored and co-authored 16 scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters.

  Research Interests 

Her research interests include pattern recognition and machine learning as well as image analysis with an emphasis on biomedical and hyperspectral images.
