Ioanna Leonidaki obtained her B.Sc. in Physics in 2003 and her M.Sc in Theoretical, Computational Physics and Astrophysics in 2006 from the University of Patras. In 2012, she obtained her PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Patras in collaboration with the National Observatory of Athens (NOA). Since late 2012, she works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS) of NOA.

  Research Interests

Observational Extragalactic Astrophysics, with emphasis in optical, X-ray and infrared astrophysics. Studies of the properties of (Ultra) Luminous Infrared Galaxies (ULIRGs) as well as the investigation of the physical state of molecular clouds and the dense gas phase in galaxies. Studies of the properties of Supernova Remnants (SNRs) in different types of galaxies and in different wavelengths, probing for their interaction with molecular clouds and the Interstellar Medium.
