Panagiotis Kokkalis received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in School of Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences (field of optoelectronics and laser) and his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 2007, 2009 and 2014, respectively. His Ph.D. was related with the upgrade/optimization of idar systems (Raman/depolarization), as well as on aerosol characterization through the synergy of active and passive remote sensing techniques.

  Research Interests

Backscatter/Raman/depolarization lidar system development (hardware), Optical design (ray tracing) for lidar optimization, Software development for the retrieval of higher level products from raw lidar signals (backscatter, Raman and depolarization techniques).
