The 1st One-Day Hellenic Cosmology Meeting
The Astronomical Institute of the National Observatory of Athens has decided
to organize, on a regular basis, a one or two-day Cosmology meeting in order to
present the new results and trends of this subject to the Greek scientific
community and public. The first one-day Cosmology meeting took place on the
9th of April 1998 and it consisted of the following events:
- A scientific workshop (09:00 - 14:00) in
which recent research on various Cosmology topics were presented.
- A public lecture at 19:00 by Prof.
Michael Rowan-Robinson (Imperial College) entitled: "Exploring the Universe"
- A tour of the facilities and telescopes
of the National Observatory of Athens.
