- PURPOSE
-
We brought together about 200 Astrophysical Cosmologists
working on different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum, Numerical
Cosmologists as well as theorists, and discussed
recent results, techniques and prospects of the high-redshift Universe.
The data flow from important space missions (Chandra, XMM, MAP),
from ground and baloon facilities (SCUBA, BLAST etc) and
the completion of the two huge galaxy surveys (the SDSS and the 2dF)
and their analysis were discussed during the meeting. The multiwavelength data from the numerous
satellites, ballon experiments and
ground facilities can be combined in imaginative ways to provide strong
Cosmological constraints and to trace the structure formation history in the
Universe.
- VENUE
-
The workshop was held in Mykonos Island
which is the most cosmopolitan island in the
Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. The island
is served by its own airport with many daily
connections to Athens and other cities in Europe.History & Culture,
