The Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (IAA)
is one of the five institutes of the National Observatory of Athens (NOA),
the oldest research centre in Greece.


Research areas of the IAA range from Solar Physics to Cosmology.
The IAA also runs the 2.3 m Aristarchos telescope at Helmos Observatory and the 1.2 m telescope at Kryoneri Observatory.
