The Summer School in Astrophysics for High School students in Greece is a new initiative for the Educational System of Greece.
The School is supported by the
Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs

The aim of the Summer School is to introduce students to the basic astronomical concepts and research. Additionally, students will understand the Astronomy's great influence on European culture and on our perception of ourselves.

The 4th Summer School in Astrophysics, 1-3 September 1999, is a
continuation of the cooperation between the Astronomical Institute and the Ministry of Education which started in 1996. For second year, the Programme of the School includes projects development by the participated students.
